Pampered.com .au proudly supports local Breast Cancer Charity
Pampered.com .au was proud to present the inaugural Breast Cancer Dinner, supporting YWCA Encore held at Onyx Bar & Restaurant - Brisbane on Tuesday 30 October 2007.
The event, which raised over $3000 was such a success that the team at Pampered.com .au are already planning next year's event!
Over 150 women (and a handful of men) attended the glamorous Pampered.com .au event which provided guests the opportunity to mingle, drink delicious cocktails, check out the Pampered.com .au goodie bag and indulge in the scrumptious food.
The event coincided with the site launch of Pampered.com .au and 4 lucky ladies won $50 Pampered.com .au gift vouchers, which were presented by the buff guys from Collar & Cuffs who had the Pampered.com .au logo emblazoned on the chests!
Proceeds from the evening were presented to the YWCA Executive Director Maren Strachen on behalf of Encore, and funds will be used to set up further Encore programs at Royal Brisbane and Women's hospital that will directly benefit over 30 women in the after care treatment of breast cancer.
About the YWCA Encore Program
YWCA Encore is an exercise program designed specifically for women who have experienced mastectomy, lumpectomy or breast reconstruction surgery at any time in their lives. Based around floor and pool exercises and relaxation techniques, it is safe, fun and therapeutic. The water resistance exercises are gentle but effective, and the warm water relaxes and relieves affected muscles. Encore can help you strengthen and tone your arms, shoulders and chest, regain mobility, and improve your general fitness.
