Passionate Office Professionals
The concept of Passionate Office Professionals (POPs) evolved from a collection of Brisbane based companies wanting to come together to celebrate Office Professionals Day, while at the same time supporting homeless women in Brisbane.
The idea was hatched when Tara Castle of Pampered.com.au and Liisa Bell and Paige Harrison of Georgie & Hector met over lunch at their favourite haunt Pandemonium Café in Brisbane to discuss ideas about “something amazing” they could do together in 2008. Combining the passion and talents of both companies and reeling in like- minded businesses such as 2be Placements, Stockingsonline.com.au, Atlantis Consulting, Iceberg Events, Fairchild Multimedia and more, the inaugural POPs event concept was born!
The goal is to create a memorable, boutique event celebrating Office Professionals Day and raise in excess of $10,000 for Women's House at Wooloongabba. Women's House support homeless women and children in Brisbane through the provision of accommodation, food and the basics to help women get back on their feet and any money raised will allow them to extend this assistance to a greater number of worthy recipients.
